The journey to get the Legacy custom table was smooth and enjoyable. From initial questions I had, through the design process and finally delivery.

I have had the opportunity to use the table for it's many objectives, a place to sit and eat or visit, and of course to play games.

The table is extremely stable and sturdy. It looks amazing and I look forward to many years of use and enjoyment.

I don't have any pictures of it in my home, but I do have the pictures that were provided as part of the entire build process. I selected a couple of the final product, and they also provide pictures as the build progresses as well.

Trying to tie up a few loose end projects at the house led me to the wonderful world of board game tables. After exploring several options, I initially was left disappointed as most game table manufacturers had set models with set options and I really needed more of a custom build; enter Uniquely Geek. Right from the jump I was blown away with the simple fact that I was able to select the exact size that I required for the space. Bonus blown away when I found out that I would be dealing with a small business based right here in the greater Phoenix area, practically neighbors. I placed my deposit and had zero regrets. I have not even mentioned the fact that I found the overall cost (once you factor in everything that you get) was the best that I could find when comparing like tables.

Although the initial wait was going to be 15 months for me, there was just enough communication to keep me in the loop and before I knew it it was design time. This process went great as the back and forth between myself and the UG staff as several design elements were tossed about, until the final design was struck. At this point I cannot overstate how great the overall customer expiernece was, communication with both Sara and Robert was awesome. Speaking of awesome, near the end of the design process I was offered the chance to move my production day up by about 4 months. At the time I was on a strict budget planned out for the original project date. Again the UG team worked with me as I was able to lock in the earlier date by allowing me to make my initial 50% payment in two parts, who does that these days?

Finally as the new project date kicked in, and the 'project baby pictures' started to come our way; the anticipation was real! Saving the best for last, the delivery date was set, and who delivered my table? Yep, both Robert and Sara. The drove the table over, brought in the house, assembled it, and gave me all of the information that I needed regarding our new table and the care that it needed. Overall an amazing expiernece, from beginning to end for what is in our view a beautiful table from top to bottom and side to side!

For the curious this table is 42" x 70" overall, game vault of 32.25" x 60.25", made out of brown maple in a Vanadium finish with a flush play surface addition. Finally a use for our dining room!

Uniquely Geek's hand made table is truly a work of art in our home. The form and function are both amazing. UG was responsive and helpful throughout the design process. While a custom hand crafted table isn't the most economical option, we are happy we didn't compromise, as this table is absolutely and beautiful and will last a lifetime.

  4. Fifteen years ago I stumbled upon tables with game vaults and it immediately made it onto my bucket list. And a little over a year ago the stars finally aligned and it was time to get the process going. I looked around to see who was making tables with game vaults and most of what I found just didn't seem to be heirloom quality furniture that I had seen so long ago. Uniquely Geek was the exception, their tables were absolutely beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. I placed my deposit and waited for my turn to come up in production.

Once it was my turn the process of designing the table was super simple. I was initially overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options available to me but UG walked me through everything step by step and I was placing the production deposit. Production was impressively quick for such a large table (96" long by 52" wide) and UG provided production pictures for every step along the way.

Delivery was quick and UG even called as the truck arrived to make sure that everything arrived intact and to walk me through assembly (side note, due to time zones it had to be 6am at UG when they called). Assembly was super easy, just a couple of wooden "pins" and 8 bolts, it took longer to get the table out of the crate than it did to actually put it together.

Now for the table, it's stunning. I've dreamed about a table like this for FIFTEEN years, and if I am being honest I was preparing myself for a bit of disappointment. I had wanted this table for so long that I was convinced that I had built it up to be better than reality would ever be. Man was I wrong!! UG absolutely took the vision I had in my head and made it better than I could have ever hoped for. This table was absolutely worth the wait and I'm so glad that I found them!

  5. This is easily the one of the best purchases I've ever made. I have wanted a game table forever and did a lot of research before deciding to go with this one. I chose Uniquely Geek because I really liked the rail system (I wanted removable cupholders) and because it is so customizable. They make the design process very easy through personal emails (rather than just an automated thing). Robert walked me through any decision that I was confused about in order to customize the table exactly to what I wanted to use it for, and went above and beyond when helping me figure out the wood choice. They sent pictures of it as it was being built, and personally set it up in my living room. I was a little nervous about custom-ordering something that I didn't get to see in person, but the table is absolutely stunning. Not only is it gorgeous, but everyone who sees it talks about the sheer quality of the woodworking. The design is so well thought out, including how the leaves fit together, how to remove them, and small details such as the type of lining they chose in case a spill happens. They encouraged me to contact them if I had any problems and left instructions on how to care for the table. They've truly thought of everything and really care about their customers. This table is the pride and joy of my whole house!

  6. We have an incredible game table!

When we moved from Alaska to Arizona at the end of 2021, we decided it was time to explore our dream of having a custom game table to support our board gaming lifestyle. We'd built a beautiful new home, so we knew we'd have a great sport for it. After doing some online research, I was impressed with Uniquely Geek. Their tables looked amazing, their reviews were solid- and they were only an hour away! Even the extremely long lead time (about 15 months from deposit to build start - back then!) couldn't sway us. We put down our deposit, bought a (relatively) inexpensive table for the next year and a half, and we waited.

Robert called about 6 months early! There had been some openings- were we ready to go? Definitely!

The process of working with Uniquely Geek was incredibly satisfying. Furnishing a new home comes with a lot of waiting, a lot of frustration, and sometimes some settling. None of that happened with Uniquely Geek. The process of designing our table was fun. While we had some solid ideas on what we wanted, We were also guided on some areas we hadn't really thought about. We were given clear choices and recommendations on sizing and accessories. Questions about our preferred games led to suggestions on table vault depth and size. Stain color samples were provided quickly. The back and forth on questions, answers, clarifications and choices was quick, clear and efficient. Once things were set, we were fortunate enough to move up in the build queue. Updates (including pictures!) were provided.

Long story short (ok, not that short!)- our table was delivered and set up before Christmas 2022- more than three months early!

The quality of our table is amazing. The workmanship is fantastic. Every detail works. The double-sided insert provides two different colors and types of fabric for amazing game play. The depth of the playing surface ("vault") below the table edge is just right. The leaves slide in tightly, and the seals between the leaves ensure any spills on the table top won't leak through. The attachments slide into the magnetic rail around the table- the mug holders handle my wife's 32-oz tumblers no problem. We'll often split half the table into game mode while the other half is in breakfast mode- allowing the best of both worlds!

Our game table from Uniquely Geek has definitely been one of the highlights of our move to the "Lower 48". The investment made in our table has already been worth it in the great evenings we've had with friends enjoying board games big and small. While I'm happy to recommend businesses that do things the right way and provide amazing products and services, I can say unreservedly that Uniquely Geek tops the list of any company I've had the pleasure to work with. Robert and Sara went above and beyond at every juncture to ensure our table was exactly what we wanted. It is without question the finest piece of furniture I've ever seen!

  7. After looking at A LOT of different companies that made custom gaming tables, we decided to try out UG. One of the main selling points was the small company, and from what we could tell (from other reviews), great customer service. We waited just under 1.5 years to get our table, but it was 100% worth the wait. The craftsmanship, the communication, the knowledge, the personalization...everything was top-notch. If you're looking for an heirloom-quality piece, UG is absolutely the way to go. Their prices are also very competitive for a handmade, custom, solid wood table. We love our table so much we now have an order for a coffee table. I can't say enough about Robert and his team at UG, they are not only great woodworkers but kind people. Thank you, UG team!
